Erase History

Erase History is a feature that allows you to collect all your operations' history. Once any KillDisk Industrial operation completes the results of this operation are added to the Erase History Log stored in the local database and are available to use with any of the features explained below.

To access the Erase History do one of the following:
  1. In the file menu bar: navigate to Tools > Erase History or
  2. Press CTRL + L

Action Toolbar Options

Export
Exports an available Erase History Log into external database.
Note: The button is dimmed when the connection has been established.
Export to CSV
Provides export to standard CSV-file (comma-separated-values file):
User should specify the Path to Store and the standard filters available (2 radio groups to select: Result and Date and Time). If the export succeeded the following message box appears:
Connect
Allows user to connect to an external database to export erase logs with existing database connection. User can specify all the necessary data in this dialog or in Preferences section. After providing required credentials and establishing a database connection KillDisk Industrial is able to export certificates and reports as well as Erase History logs to the external database.
Note: The button is dimmed when the connection has been established.
Disconnect
Disconnects and stops exporting to the external SQL database. However, Erase History still kept and accumulating in the local database.
Note: The button is dimmed when there is no connection to external database.
Refresh
Refreshes the Erase History to reflect any recently completed operations
Show Certificate
Shows the corresponding PDF-Certificate with system default PDF-viewer for the selected operation:
Show Report
Shows the corresponding XML-report with system default XML-viewer for the selected operation
Print Labels
Shows a pop-up dialog for printing the corresponding label for the selected operation
Clear
Clears the erase history

Additional Options

Show Batches View
Rather than showing history for each individual disk Disk Batches View display it all
Show Filters
Shows/hides standard filters panel (2 radio groups to select: Result and Date and Time)
Show Processes Without Batch
Shows processing results' history for each individual disk (Disk Without Batch Processing Results)
For the individual disk history: completed processes can be viewed, filtered with applied standard filters and sorted by attributes like Name, Status, Order Id etc. By clicking Right Mouse Click on Disk Processing Results table headers user is able to create a custom set of data.
Note: Export and Connect - both features share the same fields/interface for database connection. Generally speaking, user can maintain 2 modes for export Erase History: one-at-a-time export and real-time export modes. Export is a one-at-a-time transaction. Connect establishes and maintains real-time connection, so there are 2 replicas of Erase History at a time: local and remote.
